Interest/Skills Survey

“Many people ask if they need to be skilled or knowledgeable to build a home when volunteering for HFH”, Terry Tomkowiak, co-chair of the Building and Construction Committee with Don Millage, states “Habitat’s construction teams are nicely balanced with those skilled in construction and those who have never picked up a hammer. There are many other opportunities in a non-construction role.” Kathy Strong-Twohig adds, “HFH needs all kinds of help from fund-raising to publicity to volunteer recruitment to cooking meals for the volunteers. There is plenty of work for everyone.” HFH does require that you call ahead to volunteer as they adhere to a building schedule, and an overview of the work-site safety training is a must.

Volunteers are the foundation on which we build. Everyone can lend a hand to help in the building of homes and hope in our communities. For more information, donation or volunteer opportunities please contact:
