Partner with Habitat….Build a Home…. One Square Foot at a Time

Habitat for Humanity - Fond du Lac CountyHabitat for Humanity of Fond du Lac County, Inc. is kicking off a major fundraising project.

It costs $86.55 per square foot for us to build a simple, decent, affordable home using volunteer labor and some donated materials. Join with your family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, civic groups, etc. to donate the cost of one or more square feet of our Habitat for Humanity house being built this year!

You will be able to sign your name to a square foot (or as many square feet as you donate to!) when we have the sub floor completed during our construction. Or send your message with your contribution and we’ll do it for you! When construction is complete you will be invited to celebrate with us in the birth of the new home!

Remember, you’re not limited to just one square foot. You can donate as many square feet or rooms as your budget allows. Habitat builds houses in partnership with qualified families who must invest not only sweat equity in building their homes, but make a downpayment and repay a 20 year interest-free loan. These monies are reinvested in land and future home builds.

Your donations to “One Square Foot at a Time” can be sent to Habitat for Humanity, 150 S. Brooke Street, Fond du Lac, WI 54935 or you can drop them off to our office at that same address. We will also accept Master Card and Visa credit cards. Or call 920-921-6623 and we’ll gladly come pick up any donations! More information will be forthcoming on this as we partner with other businesses in town to promote “Build a Home…One Square Foot at a Time”.
