Habitat for Humanity NewsDay of Dining – Oscar's Sportsman's Inn supports Habitat For Humanity of Fond du Lac County1/27/2009Habitat For Humanity of Fond du Lac County and Oscar's Sportsman's Inn Restaurant are teaming up for a Day of Dining fundraiser on Tuesday, January 27th from 11:30 to 1:30 and again for supper from 4 to 9 p.m. Habitat for Humanity encourages the community to join us, the board of directors, staff and the many Habitat volunteers on Tuesday, January 27th and enjoy either their lunch buffet or order off the special menu created for this day. Take outs and pizza delivery will be included in this special one day of dining as well. "We are very grateful to Dave at Oscar's Sportsman's Inn for supporting Habitat For Humanity in our mission to provide safe, decent and basic housing for those in need in our community," said Kathy Strong-Twohig, Executive Director for Habitat for Humanity of Fond du Lac County. "Habitat will receive a generous portion of the food and beverage sales from this one day event and the proceeds raised from this evening will directly benefit the house builds for 2009". Oscar's Sportman's Inn is located at 156 Western Avenue in Fond du Lac. Groups of 6 or more are asked to call or email their reservations to: 921-8345 or animae1@sbcglobal.net although not required. Pizza Ranch Supports Habitat For Humanity of Fond du Lac County11/10/2008Habitat For Humanity of Fond du Lac County and the Pizza Ranch Restaurant teamed up for a one night fundraiser on Monday, November 10th from 4 to 10 p.m. The community was invited to join the board of directors, staff and the many Habitat volunteers to enjoy Pizza Ranch’s Mile-Long Buffet.

Habitat for Humanity Italian Night Dinner Raises $11,00010/10/2008Habitat for Humanity of Fond du Lac County held its 5th Annual Italian Night Dinner Fundraiser September 11 and raised more than $11,000 in funding. The event was held at the Holiday Inn in Fond du Lac with entertainment by Joe Scheibinger and Janice Marie. The successful night included fine Italian dining, raffles with a live and silent auction. Terry Tomkowiak and Dr. Will Sybesma were named as the Volunteers of the Year for their involvement on the board, committees and many hours of volunteer time. More > |
